Jack Horkheimer, best known as host of the weekly PBS television series "Star Gazer," died this afternoon (Friday) after an illness. The 72-year-old Horkheimer was also Director of the Miami Space Transit Planetarium for several decades.
His television show started, about 30 years ago, as "Star Hustler." The name was changed to "Star Gazer," with the advent of the Internet, because Internet filters for children would screen-out the word "hustler."
