There have been a lot of wild misconceptions about NASA's human spaceflight program coming from patrons at many planetariums and so I decided to start doing some research so I can give a live show about its future.  I felt it was important to present a balanced and informed viewpoint because the situation is actually quite complicated.

Even though this article came out a while ago, it turns out to be quite prophetic!  Roger Handberg does a great job of showing how America's evolving national, economic, and political priorities have put us where we are today when it comes to human spaceflight. It's a good read because it reveals a lot of historical evidence that people don't often hear about.  And based on some of the extreme opinions expressed on this list from time to time, hopefully it will help provide a wider perspective on the subject.
