New NASA Astronauts Named: Half Are Women


Two years after the end of the Space Shuttle program, NASA has accepted four men and four women into the newest astronaut class, from 6,300 applications. These astronaut candidates could be the first to land on an asteroid, and perhaps even on Mars.
